Some reports went down last week that Mickey Rourke was in talks to play Conan's father, but now Rourke has pulled out for unknown reasons and someone else has stepped in. That man is Ron Perlman, who already has history with the franchise as he voiced Conan in the animated TV show.I can't say I'm excited about this Conan the Barbarian film and Rourke walking away doesn't inspire much confidence for the project either. Even if Rourke took the role, the guy has white skin, Jason Momoa has dark skin. Are we meant to buy that these two are father and son? The whole casting just feels like a throw away thought to me.
